The traditional plastics industry consumes about 8% of the global annual production of non-renewable fossil fuels.[1] Alternatively, Solegear’s bioplastics are made from the maximum possible amounts of annually renewable, plant-based materials, sometimes as much as 100%.

In addition, we’re proving that plant-based plastics do not have to deliver inferior performance. Bio-based starches and sugars from plant-based sources can actually help improve the performance of any plastic, and the technology to use readily available agricultural by-products is improving all the time. Plant-based plastics can also biodegrade much more easily, can be produced almost infinitely and even consume carbon as the raw materials grow.
